Hey All!

It looks like this year I am going to be heading off this year's challenge... mainly because I volunteered myself and no one had the brains to say no to my having ~powers (I promise you won't regret it Jojo!). Right now I've convinced Lillie_Bell to help me out some so I don't foresee any nuclear meltdowns.

It's a bit soon but I wanted to go ahead and get an idea of what you guys are feeling as far as this year's challenge and how many active/willing members we currently have in our ranks. This was going to be a poll but as lj is being so extremely retarded it's going to have to be mostly discussion in the comments section with possible future polling. Basically this is what I am trying to figure out:

1) How many of you are planning on participating?

2) What do you think is a good monetary value for prizes? I was thinking maybe $50 for grand prize winner, $10 for everyone who finishes all challenges, and maybe something free but still hella cool for people who participate period. Just to stop you before you get up-in-arms I understand a few years back there was an issue with people who donated money but never received anything as far as prizes that year - I will be the sole financial contributor so please do not let that concern deter you from participating.

3) How do you feel about voting for winners? AND
          A. If we do voting how do you want categories split? Over all? Weekly Challenge winner? Icons versus writing? Should this be open only to people who complete the entire challenge?
         
          B. Should the names of writers/artists for entries be anonymous to prevent clique/friend preference in voting? I know in the past people have raised concerns about this but I'm not sure how you all feel about it :)

4) Is there anything else I am missing? Issues you want to bring up? Ideas to shake things up?

I know this comm has been less active these past few years but I am hoping to change that this year and plan on pimping us out to try and get some fresh blood moving in. I know real life can get in the way (believe me do I know...) but I figured since it was the 20 year anniversary we could all come together and celebrate the couple that was a main staple for all of us at one time or another :)
